Privacy policy for Varustekko

Varustekko is a hiking gear tracker. This policy is short because storing your gear list is all the app does with your data.

Where your data lives

Your gear, categories, and setups are stored in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit private database. That data is encrypted and synced by Apple between your devices. It never passes through a server run by Koodikko, because Varustekko doesn't have one.

What Koodikko collects

Nothing. Koodikko, the developer of Varustekko, has no access to your gear data, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. Varustekko is a free hobby project, not a data business.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app, or deleting your gear from within it, removes the data from your iCloud account. You can also manage or remove it directly from icloud.com.
